The battle of the operating systems is heating up. First Windows Phone was gaining ground, now there are news of an Ubuntu Touch powered smartphone coming to the shelves in 2014.

There are still now details which smartphone manufacturer is going to implement the Ubunto Touch into their devices, only that it will be running on a high-end device.

The OS has been ported on other smartphones by skillful users, but no device has offered it out of the box.
