Recap of Apple's Spring Forward event

One thing that we can say about Apple, after seeing their new event is that Apple is really health oriented. Throughout most of the event Tim Cook is talking about health, health apps and how Apple will help people get healthier or help athletes.

Tim Cook starts the presentation by introducing the audience to their new Apple store in China and continues with Apple TV, mostly talking about the all our favorite shows like Veep, Silicon Valley, especially ours - Game of Thrones. He then invites Richard Plepler, the CEO of HBO, who talks about HBO NOW. Of course, to use HBO NOW, which starts in early April for $14.99 a month, you have to have an Apple device after which we see a new magnificent Game of Thrones trailer. Also the price of Apple TV is lowered to $69.

The news continues with the iPhone and especially the 700 million units sold of all iPhones and then with Apple Pay, which is now available on even vending machines.

After that Jeff Williams talks about medical research and announces ResearchKit - a software framework made specifically for medical researches, allowing researchers toeasily create apps. It also turns your iPhone into a powerfull diagnostic tools with the first apps.

Another interesting point in the event was the MacBook. More information about the new and upgraded MacBooks we get from Philip Schiller. The new MacBook (not Air) is thinner, with a new type of keyboard with butterfly key mechanism, unlike the old scissor mechanism. It also features a new keyboard illumination, better display, new improved trackpad with glass surface, logicboard and newer software.

Now, for the thing most of you were waiting for, the newest addition to the Apple family - the Apple Watch. It will be accurate within 50 milliseconds of UTC, customizable both visually and software, most importantly, the things you see on the display.

Tim Cook mentions that you recieve calls on the watch. The thing that we did not like is the way he presents it: "-I have been wanting to do this since I was 5 years old and the day is finally here". Yes, but we've seen chinese manufacturer's watch with smartphone functions for years now. It is not something new, and, for most people, it even prooved to not be that usefull. Aside from that, there are usefull features, which will have a big impact on your health.

American model, Christy Turlington Burns, joins the stage with Tim Cook, explaining how Apple Watch helped her with her maraton in Africa.

There are 3 collections of the Apple Watch, depending on your taste.

  1. Watch Sport with aluminium finish, starting at $349
  2. Watch collection, starting at $1049
  3. Watch Edition, starting at $10,000, covered in 18k gold

We have to say - those prices are a bit high, even for Apple products.
