When we first heard the news, that Nokia will be implementing Android operating system in their devices we were excited. A great hardware with an operating system to match. But, sadly, Nokia has disregarded the rumors, saying that they have something else in mind.
The current Head of Design for HERE, Peter Skillman, was said to have lead the Android development. They were working on several devices running Android OS, including a thablet with 7 inch display and Snapdragon 400 chip.
Sadly, Nokia has put aside their plans for Android powered devices and, according to CTech sources, the decision was made without direct Microsoft intervention.
Still, Nokia has other plans - wearable devices: augmented reality, flexible displays, wireless power transmission, low power electromagnetic energy generation and graphene sensors.
You should mind, that this is not official info, but only rumors.
