MediaTek to develop in-car chipset solutions. The CPU manufacturer will invest around $82 million dollars for a new development center in the town Hefei, China. The center will have to develop full navigational, entertainment and other solutions.

It has been rumored that MediaTek has had their eye on the car market for quite a while, since the company already has a development center in Taiwan with more than 100 employees.
