Intel to subsidize $1 billion for tablet processors in 2014

The tech giant Intel, best known for their CPUs, plans to invest $1 billion to encourage manufacturers of mobile devices to use Intel processors in their products. Their goal for 2014 is to ship 10 times more CPUs than 2013, specifically - 60 million tablet processors according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.

Intel's offer is over $20 for their Bay Trail-T and Bay Trail-M CPUs. Rumor has it, that some of the bigger vendors aquire the CPUs for about $10, but this statement is not yet confirmed.
