Google confirmed for CNET that they will release an update, which will improve picture quality on Android devices, adding an option to take pictures in RAW fie format and also Burst mode.
According Google, development is in an early stage and next step is to create an API, which is based on the newly-developed software HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer).
This means, that the days of poor quality images, despite the high quality of the hardware, will soon be over.
The Burst mode is known to us from HTC and their ImageSense technology, as well as iPhone's operating system - the iOS 7.
